My daughter has an amazing and super fun new hobby. And, like I’ve said before, it is one that feeds my Disney addiction. It is cosplay….costume + play.
I’ve written about my daughter’s hobby before. The response was AMAZING! Disney Costumes That Cost Next To Nothing ~ Our Thrift Story Finds is what it was called. That was a super fun trip! I cannot wait to do it again.
However, the mom of the beautiful friend (You will have to read the article linked in above to understand) decided to do a professional photo shoot of our two girls doing what they love. So, ALL photo credit goes to J. Randall Portraits. She is a talented photographer, as you can see from her work here.
Before they started shooting pictures, they once again headed for a thrift store. They bought props and extra things they need for their costumes.
They had so much fun that day, and are already planning another. So here they are:
I really hope you are as wowed as I am with these. And I hope that the patients inside the hospital that they used as their back drop all got a kick that day too. According to a nurse, they were right outside the cancer wing of our hospital. So everyone inside, going through treatments, got a cute little show. Can you imagine?
All the clothes and props were from either the 2nd hand store (clocks, tea sets, some clothes) or from closets they had access to (theirs or their moms’.). How thrifty is that? And how super cute are they? As the mom of one of these two creative girls, I am super proud!
Here are more pictures:
These girls are so creative!
Here they are using more of their 2nd hand props:
I am so impressed by these two young women. They are so precious to me. Such good sports, and such free spirits. I am so proud to know them. They make each other better, push each other on, and bring out the best in each other. Whether in cosplay, debate, school, or the life of a teen girl, these ladies are so amazing.
Another HUGE thank you to J. Randall Portraits for these beautiful and wonderful photos. J, you are so creative, simply the best! Your talent makes me curiouser and curiouser to see what you create next.
