There are many ideas and ways that you can safely and easily identify your children for going to the theme parks.
I love the advice I received many years ago regarding taking a full body picture of your kids from your phone each new day showing what they look like that day and the clothes they are wearing, so in case they get lost, you have the most recent, full body picture with the full attire for identification purposes.
We always do this.
In addition, having your kids (and mom and dad) wear bright and colorful clothes that can be more easily spotted in a crowd.
Well, another fun tip and trick that my kids don’t mind is wearing a fun themed silicone wristband. I can find Universal Studios and Disney Themed silicone bracelets in the party sections of Walmart, Target and even the dollar store. My kids will happily wear a bracelet with characters from the park we are visiting.
We recently visited Universal Studios, so I found Transformers silicone bracelets in the party section at Walmart for an affordable price.
On the inside of the bracelet, I just wrote their first name and our cell phone number so that if they get separated from us somehow, there is an easy method for someone to get ahold of us. Thankfully, in all of our visits to theme parks, this hasn’t happened, but you can’t be too careful!
I tried to use a Sharpie at first, but it doesn’t work on silicone – it just rubs off (ironic…). You have to use a pen. The pen stays and works well.
Then the kids can wear these around the park and feel like they fit in (boy or girl) and have a fun character to wear.
What ideas do you have for kids and safety at the park?
