Have you heard the news? The long-running, famous, in-the-dark Main Street Electric Parade has officially come to it’s end in Disneyworld after 6 years. The last run was on October 9th, 2016. It was a sad day in Disney World history.
However, the history runs deeper and longer with this parade in its original home in Disneyland from 1972 – 1996. And so there’s good news for those of us who frequent Disneyland more…we have good news…the parade is moving west to our park.
When will it be here?
That’s the question of the day. Disney hasn’t revealed when exactly. But we’ve seen rumors that it will be here in November for the holiday season – which would be awesome because Kiz and I are heading back to Disneyland in November for an early holiday kick-off and our third visit during holiday time.
But then other rumors indicate early 2017. We will let you know as soon as we know.
How long will it be here? That’s a great question too.
But the bad news is that the really fun and exciting “Paint the Night” parade will be retiring.
Pictures from Kiz and my last visit to see this parade before it’s gone!
There’s always a balance of good news and bad news…but I am looking forward to seeing that iconic Main Street Electric Parade again!
Which nighttime parades have you seen and which are your favorites?
