As we continue to share tidbits of information on very specific ways to enjoy Disneyland – we are going to share many food ideas.
As a big family with hungry kids, eating is a big deal. Eating in the parks are a big deal for our budget and we have found several tips and tricks to ease the pressure on the wallet.
Today’s tip comes straight out of California Adventure at the Cocina Cucamonga Grill.
It is a Mexican Themed Restaurant which is great because they have large entrees’. These will feed an adult couple well, but we have found that it will also feed children and go a long way!
The best value the last time we visited was the Carne Asada and Chicken Tamale meal
Yes, it is one of the more expensive items on the menu, but it will feed 4 smaller children well and have a nice amount of protein.
Here’s a picture of ours:
This meal is HUGE! And I am not sure if the picture does it justice. The Carne Asada part is a very large piece of beef. This can be shared between 3 younger kids and a baby. It can easily be sliced into 3 servings and be a nice portion. Then the tortillas can be filled with the beef, rice and beans for two kids and the chicken tamale for a third. Then the baby can eat rice and beans!
Everyone is full and everyone is happy! It’s a very satisfying meal.
