This was an interesting story and wished we had a copy of Harry Potter to cash in. Did you know that there are 500 copies of a this book floating around and each one could be worth thousands. In fact, one just sold for $34,000 (I guess that leaves 499 copies left out there).
Which book is it and what typo should you look for?
Well, it was the first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

This first edition had 500 copies printed with a typo on page 53.
Page 53 shows a list of supplies and the “1 wand” is repeated twice.
If you have a copy of this first version, you will want to check out your copy immediately. It could be an early retirement plan…for a few dozen trips to Disneyl..er, Universal Studios (in this case ;)).
We’d love to hear if any of our readers have one of these copies!
