Do you want to know how you can get the old Disneyland ticket prices? If you follow our Facebook page, you would have seen our live video regarding recent news out of Disneyland.
This time, the news we share from the “Happiest Place on Earth” isn’t the “Happiest.”
Disneyland is raising ticket prices. In fact, they raised them yesterday! It was announced on Saturday, February 11 that the following day, the gate ticket prices were going up from $2-$50! Yes – less than a day’s notice, Disneyland was raising ticket prices.
The ticket prices are not the only prices affected. Parking has now increased from $18 a day to $20 a day.
Why is Disney increasing ticket prices?
According to this Cnn.com article,Disney had emailed a statement regarding the pricing structure and increases stating that it is to “better manage demand” and “is reflective of the distinctly Disney offerings at all of our parks.”
“If you compare our pricing to other forms of family entertainment – from football games to golf events to ski passes, major concerts – we offer a great value for the money. Guests can enjoy a full day of entertainment (up to 16 hours) when at Disney Parks.”
Honestly, there probably is truth to this, in addition to the fact that they are working on adding many new attractions, including Star Wars Land in both CA and FL, along with the new Marvel ride in CA and Toy Story Land in FL as just a few of the big projects costing multi-hundred millions, some even speculate billions. This will cause ticket hikes.
And we would not be surprised in the least that once many of these new attractions open, that the ticket prices will hike again, perhaps by a lot more than $5 for a one-day ticket.
What are the price increases for Disneyland and Disney World?
For Disneyland, a single day ticket will increase from $2-$5 depending on the season. Disneyland has implemented a seasonal tiered structure. The low times are the lowest prices and the peak times are the highest.
The old prices for single-day from low to peak season were: $95, $105 or $119.
As of yesterday, the prices are now: $97, $110 or $124.
Disneyworld tickets are increasing by the same range from their old prices as well.
The multi-day ticket prices are also increasing. Here’s an example of the new prices (up by about $5 each)
Now here’s where a bit of good news comes in. You can secure the old prices, plus approximately an additional $5 savings per ticket. That’s about a $10 savings total, which for a family of 6 – this is $60!
But you can only get these prices and secure them until February 21st. This does not mean you have to go to Disneyland or Disney World by that time, it simply means you need to reserve by this time for ANY date in 2017 and get these prices!
You also don’t have to pay for it all now. Reserve your trip and tickets by the 21st, but pay for it with a layaway plan. The layaway plan works like this: you put $125 down no matter the total cost. You can pay $5, $10, $100 however much you want, whenever you want. In fact, you can pay $0. Then, within two-weeks of your travel date, you will need to have it paid in full. So whether you want to secure the prices and reserve at $125 down, then pay the rest of it two-weeks before, you will be set and saving good money.
This is the best way to go as well because this Disney travel company (Get Away Today) will meet or beat any other prices on hotel and packages that you find out there! If you find a better price, they will guarantee you the lowest prices.
